Entering Nurgada’s office the first thing anyone noticed was the massive sun wheel hanging on the wall.
Galatea was so used to seeing it she never paid much attention to it until today. Today she was searching for answers. She needed to know what secrets her mom kept from her.
From the doorway she scanned the room. Her eyes were drawn to the old desk by the door. On it were three old books, her mom’s coffee mug with a picture of an owl on it, and various papers.
She stood there with a plain look on her face and took a deep breath. Staring at the titles of the books she exclaimed to no one, “what could you possibly need the Book of Voynich, Book of Neosaurs, and the Book of Names for?”
Walking over to the desk she sat down and touched the tops of the books and then put her hand on the mug as tears streamed down her face.
Her shoulders heaved forward while leaning down until her head laid on the wood. She stayed like this until the sun from the window had moved on.

Galatea picked up her head and wiped her tears and slowing inhaled. Her hand and reached for The book of Names from her mom’s desk.
Opening it she found on the left side was the song she often sang with her mom with a few more verses than she knew. She was surprised her mom never sang these words with her.
Turning the pages she found her family tree going back thousands of years, maybe farther. Why hadn't her mom shared this with her?
Galatea knew that Grandma Maggie was a huntress like her. Papa Soloman was a green hat wizard. She knew that she was related to Uncle Bromley and Aunt Annabel and their daughter warrior Kathleen. Uncle Soran was listed in the book too.
Turning the pages uncovered many family members with information…a world she didn’t know about. Deep into the night she read.
